    What a beautiful location, nothing can be better than this location in Port Blair, near places of interest, food points and jetty. However, as the ownership is of Government , staff at reception, dining hall or else where bother about you but still I will recommend this beauty, some of the cottages are so nicley located , you will love to stay there

    Honestly our stay in this resort was way better than our expectation considering it is a Govt managed property. We stayed 1 night only, wish we could stay longer. Any private resort in that area would have been much more expensive. The room was clean , huge, room amenities were good. Food was ok, propery is old but still decently maintained. Highly recommended. The issue could be with transportation since it is a bit secluded area. But we hired an auto who was available on a phone call, you can easily arrange someone there .

    The views are exceptional, location unbeatable, but this hotel is way way way way past it's prime, it needs a big chain to scoop it up, just for its location and turn it into a world class 5 star. Once this gets transformed it would have no difficulty surpassing the ITC Welcome Bay, which is touted to be the best property in port blair, but after staying there, I've realised ITC Welcome bay is a few years away from rotting it's way to disrepair into the Megapode. The Megapode is run by a quasi govt ANIDCO, so you can imagine the abysmal standards of any thing the government puts its hands into. Avoid this property at all costa, head to Bay View Sinclair where a room can be had for 6/8k and infinitely better than the dying Megapode
