    I found 2 kinds of insects im not familiar with.. one in the floor and one in the bathroom wall.. The smell is terrible. I have raised the issue and asked to be transferred to another room but they did only told me next day only 12 oclock. All 3 receptionists don’t speak english at all. The tv is not switching off that he has to unplug it from the wall. The bed is not flat, its cheap bed. And the AC is terrible, sometimes im sweating, one time even all my drinks in the table got cold. Everything is disgusting. Location also is 15mins from 2 closest subway station. People drinking alcohol in the common area. Terrible experience, i will not recommend this socially for solo traveller.

    I would recommend Meego Yes Hotel. It was convenient, clean, and located in a good area. The check-in process was very easy. I arrived extremely late, at around 5:00 AM, and there was still someone on duty to help me check in, which I really appreciated. The room and property were clean, and I also had a nice view from the balcony. Overall, I had a good experience and think this is a perfectly good place to stay. I would stay here again.

    First of all the bad bits ….. the place looks very little like the pictures which have been done with AI I think. The “reception” area is tatty and old and the outside looks totally different to the picture on Agoda as does the room. Secondly the staff provide limited and very basic “customer service”. Not unfriendly but certainly not warm, welcoming and friendly. On the good side though I was happy with the room - small but ok for one person, the place was clean with a nice clean and maintained bathroom. A kettle and water was provided and the AC worked ok. The TV did not. There is a nice communal area with a microwave that was broken but a working fridge. The location was good because it is away from the tourist zone and in a local area with a convenience shop over the road - just 10 minutes from exit 10 Shanghai station metro All in all then I was not unhappy at the Meego and quite liked it on balance, but I think they should either smarten the place up or change the photos.
