    Affordable price during the Easter weekend, which was a big plus. The staff were very nice and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel itself is a bit old — the bathroom tap was dripping all night, which was quite annoying. Also, the property is currently under renovation, so the pool was not available during our visit. On the positive side, we were able to plug in our car to charge overnight, which was very convenient and appreciated. Overall, a decent budget option with friendly service, but a few maintenance issues need attention.

    If you want a private bathroom, it's very difficult to find Newcastle accommodation for under $*** per night. So Mayfield Motel is a good option for just over $***. While it's a bit run down, it's clean and comfortable. The free wifi worked well, as did the smart TV. Fridge, microwave, kettle, plates and cutlery were all good. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's just far enough off the highway to be quiet and restful. They are spending money and making improvements, so I would certainly be happy to stay there again.

    Had to wait for staff to show up as nobody on site when arrived to check in. Room very rough around the edges but fine for quick stay. Very comfortable bed. Not near anything shops wise. Pool was closed .
