    Excellent service by staff to arrange and keep futon in tatami room. Private onsen was true to Kusatsu reputation, very hot, took me longer to adjust, it was enjoyable . Carpark was available but at an unknown location, we just passed the key to staff. Overall a good experience in a traditional Japanese setting.

    We stayed at matsumuraya ryokan for two days and had a great time. The staff walked us through everything and their hot water spring bath was amazingly refreshing. Well located as well and the rooms are spacious. Would recommend!

    I left my ipad at this accomodation and could not go back to get it in the middle of my trip. They refused to post it back to my country when we paid a lot of money to stay there. They couldn't offer an extra step of kindness.
