    So you want to escape the city-side for a taste of the rural? This is the place. Owned by a fantastic older-couple, this Ryokan is VERY historic & immaculately clean/quiet. There’s long paths by the riverside in both directions, allowing you to explore the beautiful countryside. Also laundry, food options, and bicycles for rent within a short walk! From Terminal 2, bus-stop 13, the Tako Town Community Bus runs every 40 minutes. Get off @ the 4th stop & it’s a .3 mile walk to the Ryokan.

    From Narita airport, take bus 13 to Tako City Hall. From there it is a 7 minute walk using Google Maps. The hosts are absolutely wonderful! Using a translating device, I learned a lot about the Ryokan’s history and Japanese culture and felt I had made new friends. There are also beautiful flower gardens, shrines and temples a short drive away! This was a perfect place to rest away from the busy city areas after a long trip. I will definitely plan to come here again!
