    Lovely Tudor building with great services, excellent staff and it is great value for money. Food was very nice and rooms comfortable and had all you need.

    Had a total of around 12 nights over Christmas/New Year split over 4 visits. Staff were always so friendly and helpful, storing bags, flexible with breakfast. Nice friendly demeanours.

    Look was adequate but looked in need of updating to present day taste. Room needed a lot of maintenance (loose carpet and bathroom accessories). Catering staff were great but both reception staff were awful. I was told a single Dad travelling with two children should bring passports for the children to prove I haven't kidnapped them. After firmly confronting this, informing her I had been given no information about this prior to arrival and the simple fact they didn't have passports, she said not to worry as 'the kids look happy enough'. I also had to get them yo remove an extra £40 charge added a couple of days before arriving for a bed being added to the room which I didn't ask for. On departing on the morning of 8/6/25 a different female (older) receptionist ask me for the room number to which I answered. Rather than say a simple goodbye she just turned away and started talking to a colleague. Her mother clearly didn't teach her basic manners.
