Stayed here while attending to a family member in the hospital. The neighborhood was good - coffee shops, eateries, small grocery - and conveniently located to public transit. Room was small and clean - reasonably appointed. I appreciated the art - not your standard motel/hotel variety. Drawback was the relatively few number of outlets. As that is a common problem in older places, I travel with a compact surge protector that has multiple outlets and USB ports so that the limited number or placement of outlets isn't a problem. I'm a no-frills traveler typically and am not looking for fitness centers, business centers, etc. The front desk was manned but I had no need beyond check in/out for staff assistance. Others have commented on road noise. Yes, there was some, but I didn't find it obtrusive. I'd definitely stay here again if I need to be in northwest Seattle.

Perfect for a short stay where you’ll spend little time in your room. The room was very clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows very comfortable. They even let us check in early!
No views and doesn’t look much from the outside. Onsite free parking. An exceptional value for the money!!

Persons name because he’s a famous author. You REALLY need to stay here. This place is a home away from home. If you’re new to Seattle, kinda lost, or just exploring, be sure to check this place out. Kurt Cobain had a permanent room here for 2 years.

the moment we went into the room, it felt like someone has peed in the room, and we couldn't locate the source of the smell, and all of the sudden we just felt so disgusting and dirty, even it seems normal on overall beddings and furnitures.
