I booked Majestic Villa, near Padubidri, Udupi mainly because of its proximity to Padubidri Beach. We booked two rooms for our family. Check-in was smooth, and the property's exterior looks good, but the positive impression ended there.
The rooms were small, and the towels and bed linen had an unpleasant smell and did not feel clean. The biggest concern was hygiene—after switching the bathroom lights back on after a short time, we found several baby cockroaches in the toilet, which was unacceptable.
I had also paid for breakfast during booking, but the next morning we were told they would have to go out and buy it, meaning it wouldn't be available until around 8:30 AM, so we had to skip and leave early.
For a tariff comparable to a 3-star hotel, the experience was far below expectations. While the location near the beach is convenient and check-in was hassle-free, the poor cleanliness and unfulfilled breakfast service made our family stay very disappointing.
