This hidden gem was absolutely beautiful! The Vila is right in the mountain vally facing an amazing scenery of endless green hills. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating and welcoming. The place is very close to the tea plantation where you can go and enjoy a lite breakfast or a yummy snack. I would definitely recommend this resort especially of you're after a peaceful place away from all the hassle.

Mae Salong Mountain Home Resort is located away from the town of Mae Salong. That can be a bit challenging if you’re looking to do local sightseeing. However the proprietors were able to help us arrange a local guide to take us around for a reasonable rate. The resort itself is located overlooking the valley and tea plantations. It’s idyllic and quiet (other than the sounds of nature!). Within walking distance, there are sunrise and sunset vantage points as well as a tea cafe / plantation / shop for tastings and exploration. In addition to breakfast (which was included in the reservation), à la carte dinner is available. What made their hospitality exceptional for me was their help with transport. First they found a local guide / driver to take me around to the early morning market. Then, when the driver I had sourced on my own tried to renegotiate his rate to take me off the mountain, the proprietors stepped in and spoke on my behalf to make sure he got me to my destination safely without charging more. That was over and above expected behavior for me and very much appreciated. Note: in addition to English and Thai they also speak Mandarin Chinese.
