Lynda Hotel

I opted for City View but the hotel has no other view besides the view of the face of other buildings. I thought I had the worst room but turns out there is another worse room just next to the reception. You can hear people talking outside the reception no matter what floor you're staying at. The hotel location is very centralised to go many attractions like the Blue Mosque but that is the only upside to this hotel. The hotel breakfast at 10 euros is reasonable, and is actually more wholesome than buying pastries alone from outside. If you are traveling to Istanbul near their Victory Day parade on 31 Aug, be advised that you will hear jets flying over your hotel during this time. I was alarmed by it as the jet sounds were loud and ended with whistling sounds at the end as if they were going to drop b*mbs. The room was also very small, there was barely enough room for 2 people to move around without knocking into each other. I even have a problem finding space to pray as the direction was a weird angle. I ended up praying adjacent to the toilet door. If I visited Istanbul again, I will likely choose a nicer hotel.

A friendly small hotel well positioned as a base for exploring the historic landmarks of Istanbul. The staff were always ready to assist with advise as well as suggesting and arranging tours when requested. The hotel was clean and tidy. Rooms are small but well equipped. Catering is offered only for breakfast but as I was out sightseeing all day lunch was sourced elsewhere and there are a number of good eateries/restaurants close by where good evening meals can be enjoyed.

The room is small, but works great. Good AC, shower, bed, wifi. Super clean, quiet. I'd stay again.

This is our third time at Lynda hotel and I must say everything is very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay at Istanbul. It is very close to everything.
