Stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights and overall everything was good but really not matching the price. The cheaper rooms felt very cheap, with the bathrooms in particular plus a view of a hedge. The spa is nice but there are only 6 beds, so nowhere to sit for most people and everything outside is at a high additional cost which was not transparent in advance. There’s no welcome drinks and overall front of house staff weren’t particularly helpful with no offer of help with luggage or additional information. There were several other unexpected charges such as for other coffee in the morning, and eating in the restaurant at night the food was nice but it all felt very rushed, with pre plated chilled plates brought out, so although the food was very nice, the overall experience wasn’t matching the price you pay. There was a fire drill at 4 am which can of course happen but it would be nice if the hotel compensated with complementary coffee/drinks the following day. The bed was very comfy and the area is beautiful but it felt like a cheaper hotel than we paid for

Great facilities, terrific breakfasts. But for two days away for two people it was over £*** bed and breakfast (but this did include a massage and a facial each). Other facilities in the area offer a similar deal for considerably less.

When we arrived we were greeted by the receptionist who spoke so quickly through everthing , that it was hard to comprehend all that was said. We felt extremely let down by the quality of service and standard of food in the restaurant. Our waiter was very glum and our table was situated in what we could only describe as a 'thoroughfare'. My soup was served whilst I was away at the toilet and so, it was tepid. It was replaced free of charge but we were 'tricked' into purchasing a good bottle of red wine. We were told it was a slightly more costly one but not informed of it costing nearly £80. Despite there being a lot of waiting staff dashing pass us, it was very difficult to catch their attention when I needed to ask for something. The hotel is situated in a prime spot with magnificent views over the loch and si this was our saving grace.
