    location in the center of grandworld. just few steps from teddy bear museum, facing river with water taxi... the room is compliment with foot massage 😍😍

    This property has good views of the fake Disney-like European architecture that is Grand view and its motorized gondolas that carry passengers up and down its 2ft deep manage river. The room is clean, big enough, and everything works. Same with the bathroom. The failure is the bed. The mattress is rock hard. Another thing that disappoints is the show that Grand View provides. The voices are recorded and lips synced by performers and the fireworks show was canceled because of rain
. When it didn’t rain at all. The hotel has virtually no staff, just a worker out front whose job is to ask anyone passing by if they want a massage. He took a break from his hassling passerby’s to carry our luggage to our room and provide the room key. The Gran View apartment complex is full of overprices restaurants and shops charging two to four times the amount you will find outside the resort area. The closest town is Duong Dong, a 28 minute drive. There are lovely beaches and a few smaller waterfalls that are 40-60 minutes drive away from the Grand View area. The food is much better in Duong Dong at restaurants there. Our opinion is that Grand View is a tourist trap. Sunset town at the South end of the Islsnd is a much nicer place with better attractions, architecture, and restaurants, though still a bit of a tourist trap and massively overpriced. Both grand view and sunset town are appealing to Asian tourists that can afford or don’t want to fly all the way to Europe. Otherwise the better value is the beautiful resorts that are abundant around the island of Phu Quoc. Last note, there is a free bus that runs frequent North to South on the island and to the airport. It’s a good idea to take it to Duong Dong to rent a car or motorcycle as the prices of old dilapidated vehicles offered at Grand View are a rip off. If you don’t mind overspending and getting grifted at every opportunity then Grand View is a good choice for you.
