We stayed at Lawson’s Resort in Siquijor for 3 nights and paid around ₱10,849 for our stay.
There were definitely some positives. The resort is conveniently located close to the beach and has a nice swimming pool. The staff were consistently friendly, accommodating, and helpful throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated.
However, I felt that the overall experience did not provide the value I expected for the price. Our room had no view, and there were no racks or designated areas to hang wet clothes or swimwear, which is something I would expect from a beach resort. Breakfast was also not included in the room rate, and at this price point, that felt like a missed opportunity to provide better value to guests.
Unfortunately, we also encountered a cockroach in our room during our stay. While I understand that tropical destinations can sometimes face pest issues, it was disappointing and affected our overall comfort and impression of the accommodation.
Overall, the location and excellent staff are the resort’s strongest points. However, considering the room rate, I expected better room amenities, greater attention to cleanliness and pest control, and more inclusions. The resort has potential, but there is room for improvement to make the experience feel more aligned with the price charged.
