    My stay at Lansdown Grove Hotel was excellent and worth every penny. The hotel and my room were kept spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard. The location is ideal just a short pleasant walk to Bath city centre, making travel for work or sightseeing very convenient. I would especially like to commend the man who worked at reception on 28 July, and Mr. Matthew Rae, you were all extremely polite and kind throughout my stay. If you are reading this, please accept my sincere thanks to both of you for your wonderful help and support. I would absolutely love to return here in the future, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bath looking for quality hotel at great value.

    Old fashioned yet super comfortable hotel. I loved the view from my window. Beware it’s 15 minutes uphill from Bath City Center but once you get there it will be all worth it.

    Positive: Staff were extremely thorough and helpful. Breakfast was worth every penny again staff extremely polite and service excellent. Room was clean and well presented, bathroom a bit dated but all worked fine. Bad Bits for us: Not sure if we missed that you have to pay for parking in their car-park which is £15.00 per day. We booked at short notice but as soon as we booked we had a notice to say they had work going on and there is scaffolding up near some of the rooms. We only found out on arrival that included the one we were in. Unfortunately we were woken up at 7.45am by the builder setting up so not really had the late morning snooze we wanted. We also thought the walk into Bath was going to be easy (flat ground)but the hotel is at the top of a big hill so all is fine going down but coming back up is only OK if you are young or very fit! We were told there is a bus stop near the hotel which was fine dropped us in town but the last bus is approx 11.15pm and we were at a function and missed the last bus and couldn't find at taxi rank. Overall it has not put us off and would stay again.

    The hotel sits on a hilltop, and it’s very quiet. A bus to Bath Abbey stops right outside, which is convenient. The building itself is quite old, though, and the floors creak loudly, which got irritating fast. We stayed during peak summer, and the room was stiflingly hot with no air conditioning and barely any ventilation. The fan provided was more noise than airflow, though the staff were polite and helpful and swapped it for another one. The bed was also smaller and shorter than a standard double. Overall, the experience fell short. After a full day exploring beautiful Bath, coming back to a hot, noisy room made it hard to properly rest.
