The location is the real highlight of this property. The staff were accommodating, especially when I encountered a minor error with my booking date, and they assisted me throughout the process. The property offers adequate facilities, although they are somewhat dated and could benefit from better upkeep. Overall, it is a reasonable option if you have an occasion or event booked at the property, particularly because of its accessibility for guests. However, the value for money could be better if the property’s maintenance and overall upkeep were improved.

We had a generally pleasant stay at Lancaster Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and overall, it provided a good environment for our team during our fieldwork. However, one major concern during our stay was the lack of internet connectivity. Unfortunately, we were unable to access the internet during our stay, which was a significant inconvenience because internet access was essential for our work and fieldwork-related tasks. We understand that technical issues can happen, but for guests who are traveling for business or work, reliable Wi-Fi is already an essential hotel amenity. We hope the management can improve the reliability of their internet service and provide timely assistance or alternative solutions whenever connectivity problems occur. Overall, we appreciated the quality and comfort of the room, but the internet issue significantly affected our experience. We hope this can be addressed to provide a better experience for future guests.

We booked a total of six rooms at Lancaster Hotel, three Studio Queen rooms and three One Bedroom Suites, and unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The rooms feel very old and dated, and several had a noticeable musty smell. Cleanliness was also a concern. The couches smelled unpleasant and had multiple visible stains, which made the rooms feel poorly maintained. Even simple details were overlooked, such as spoons and forks being placed directly inside the shelves without tissue, liners, or any proper sanitary arrangement. The hallways are extremely dark, which adds to the old and poorly maintained atmosphere of the property. The air-conditioning units also seem outdated, and the air quality inside the rooms was not comfortable. After spending time in the rooms, the air felt stale and unpleasant. One of the biggest frustrations was the elevators. They are extremely slow, and some employees would randomly restrict or lock certain elevators, even during peak hours. This made moving between floors unnecessarily difficult, especially since the hotel was unable to accommodate our request for adjacent rooms. With six rooms in our booking, going back and forth between rooms became a constant inconvenience. Service was also inconsistent. Some staff members were rude, while others seemed unsure of the hotel’s procedures or how to properly assist guests. Overall, the property feels very old and, based on the condition of the rooms and facilities, I do not think it offers good value for the price. The main advantage is convenience if you are attending an event at the hotel itself. If your priority is simply having easy access to an event venue, it may be acceptable. However, if comfort, cleanliness, good air quality, efficient elevators, and consistent service are important to you, I would recommend considering other options.
