We enjoyed a lot everything at Lan Rung Resort - Breakfast very good, many options with traditional food and so on - Beach very clean and safe, the guard always keep an eyes on people to take care everyone - The pools very unique and we feel very comfortable - Near the Sea Food center (Phuoc Hai) with many fresh seafoods

This place has been well-known for years. It was already quite popular before and during COVID, and it seems to have survived that period quite well. It is still considered by many people to be one of the better places to stay in Phuoc Hai, so we came here with fairly high expectations, especially because it is a four-star property. Unfortunately, our actual experience came with quite a few disappointments. One of the first things we noticed was the kitchen area. The kitchen cupboard, range hood, and related facilities had signs saying that guests were not allowed to use them. What surprised us was that some of the cupboard frames were already falling apart, even though they were basically there just for display. There was also no microwave for heating food, which I think is a pretty basic appliance to have in this type of accommodation, especially for a two-bedroom unit where families are expected to stay. The only thing we could actually use in the kitchen area was the sink. The bins in the room were also very small. For a two-bedroom unit designed for at least four adults, I think the bins should definitely be bigger and more practical. The kitchen was not the only area that seemed to need more attention. Some of the other furniture and facilities in the room were also not properly maintained. For example, the wardrobe rattan mesh was not in good condition, and the bathroom ventilation system also seemed to need maintenance. These may look like small things individually, but when you put them together, they give the impression that the room has not been properly checked and maintained for quite some time. The cleanliness could also be improved. We could still see water stains and dirt on several reflective surfaces, including the balcony doors, mirrors, and sliding doors in the bathroom. The room amenities were also quite basic compared with other hotels and resorts we have stayed at in the same or even higher price range. For a four-star property, we expected a little more in terms of both the condition of the room and the amenities provided. Breakfast was probably one of the biggest disappointments. There were not many choices, and honestly, the food did not taste very good. The lighting in the restaurant at Block B was also quite awful and dull, which made the whole atmosphere feel a bit depressing in the morning. Breakfast should be one of the more relaxing and enjoyable parts of a hotel stay, but unfortunately, we did not get that feeling here. For a four-star property, the overall breakfast experience was far below what we expected. Another experience that really bothered us was the way the ice bucket charge was handled. We called the room service/operator and asked for an ice bucket. Nobody told us that there would be an additional charge. The request was simply passed to another team, and later we were asked to pay VND 57,000 for the ice bucket. To be clear, the VND 57,000 itself is not the main issue. The problem is that nobody informed us about the charge before providing the service. If there is a charge, that's completely fine — just let the guest know first and give them the choice of whether they want to pay for it. What made this even more disappointing was the difference in the way drinking water and ice are handled compared with other hotels and resorts we have stayed at, including Vinpearl. In our experience, many other properties provide ice and refill bottled drinking water free of charge throughout the stay. Here, our family of five was given only four 500ml bottles of water, with no free refill if we needed more. So when we asked for an ice bucket, we honestly did not expect it to suddenly become a paid service without anyone mentioning the charge beforehand. Again, it is not about the 57,000 VND. It is about the feeling and the way the service was handled. The whole experience made us feel like we were being charged for every little thing instead of being treated as guests. The smoking issue
