LAGUNA HOLIDAY RESORT

We booked this hotel 2 weeks before travel as we had originally booked Labranda Sandy Beach in September ‘23 and 2 weeks before travel Agoda cancelled our booking. Positives- rooms modern and spotless Staff work really hard Any issues raised were addressed and changes were made….but these were basic things that shouldn’t have happened anyway Cons Ran out of beer and white wine for a full day…. Happened sporadically throughout the 2 week holiday Food selection and quality got better each day… but this was only after suggestions were made to management. Air con units x2 in main dining area are decorations, in 40 degrees heat, not once turned on. Only able to eat in what feels like a green house, evening meals unbearable in the dining room. Sun is low and shines I. Through glass windows and fry’s everyone! The 2 main massive issues we had, which is probably out of the hotels control is the absolute stench of sewage around the bungalow area and the pool on some days. Then the mosquitoes…… completely unbearable! Ruined the holiday, who builds a hotel 20 meters from a still lake????? We were a party of 12 and one lady had over 60 bites in one night on her feet alone! We used everything, jungle formula number 4 strength, trek, xpel wipes which have always worked everywhere we have gone! We have never experienced anything like it. In summary, the manager and staff work sooooo hard to improve things but there are just too many issues. We would never ever return to this hotel!
