I would highly recommend this place. The room was very comfortable and clean. It had all necessary facilities like a mini fridge, the Aircon, even an extractor in the bathroom and in the room itself, even though I am not a smoker. The staff was very welcoming and showed me around a little and gave very good advice as to which hikes were open or not because I was traveling right after the cyclone. The place itself is extremely central just a few steps away from the main area. I did rent a car for a few hikes that were further away but generally, I don’t think 1 needs a car once you get to Cilaos and stay at Kazuera. I think the area was very safe for a solo traveler and I would happily come back to stay at the same place for my next trip there.
