    It's a bit of an adventure but worth it. The hotel itself is a beautiful 400 year old house in the middle of the woods near Seba station in Shirojio. The food and the rooms are done in high taste. The owner and the team are very friendly and will do everything to make your stay comfortable. Very good food and wine from their farm and vineyard. I would recommend if you want a few days to relax. We used it as a base and visited Matsumoto.

    We couldn’t have asked for a better place to end our two week holiday in Japan. Absolutely beautiful place, peaceful location but close to towns and train lines, essentially a tasting menu style dinner every night with local produce, and by far the kindest, most accommodating staff who went out of their way to help us during our stay. I can’t believe I haven’t heard about La Terra before coming here, but I will be shouting from the mountaintops about it after our stay. Book immediately!
