On November 10th 2025, I booked a 7 nights stay at Fleur de Lune Ecolodge through Agoda, paid upfront a nonrefundable rate, and was informed by the hotel in writing a week later, that they had overbooked the first 3 nights, and that I would be refunded for these affected nights.
My original reservation was from December 28 2025 until January 4 2026, and they changed it from 31st of December to January 4th.
I did not expect this “relaxing”vacation to become a nightmare, starting from the difficulty of finding an alternative accommodation for three nights, to dealing daily with highly unprofessional hotel staff.
When I arrived and checked in, the staff suddenly claimed they didn’t know if a refund would be issued. Afterward, I was told the “date had passed” and that there would be no refund, despite clear emails confirming it was their mistake. It felt dishonest.
Throughout my stay, I repeatedly showed them the emails but was told they were “too busy” and that they would “look into it.” On checkout, they claimed they couldn’t refund me because they hadn’t received payment from the bank, even though Agoda had already charged me in full upfront.
There was also no housekeeping for the first two nights, which is unacceptable for the nightly rate of $ ***!!!
The overall attitude was dismissive, and instead of taking responsibility, they made me feel at fault for asking for my own money back. I didn’t receive any refund from them yet.
I do not recommend Fleur de Lune Econolodge due to poor professionalism, communication, and basic hospitality.
