La Florentina Resort

Have been in this resort for quite a lot, day trip or overnight. The place is serene, clean, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you love nature, this is a place to be. Ample pools to choose from, ample accommodations and staff is great. Will soon come back.

Overall we had a good stay in La Florentina however the road to the resort is quite narrow, with some roads even unable to fit 2 cars. They also didn’t have any food in the property during our stay so we would recommend to bring your own or eat out.

Our stay at La Florentina Resort in Bulacan was honestly very disappointing, especially considering how expensive the room rates are for what they actually offer. The room lacked even the most basic necessities. There was no chair, no proper mirror except for a very small one inside the bathroom, and nowhere to hang towels or clothes. The room only had two beds, wall lamps on each side, a small wall table with drawers, and a TV that only had local channels and did not even allow streaming access. What disappointed me the most were the security and comfort issues. First, the room did not even have a double lock, which made me feel very unsafe during our stay. It was difficult to sleep peacefully knowing there was no extra security feature installed on the door. Second, the air conditioning was extremely cold, yet the blanket provided was very thin — almost like paper. For the price they charge, this level of comfort is honestly unacceptable. Another thing I found concerning was how the resort constantly reminds guests that management is not liable for lost belongings, yet they do not even provide proper room security like a simple double lock. On top of that, they require a ₱500 deposit and even ask guests to surrender their actual ID upon check-in and only return it during checkout. In this day and age, most accommodations simply take a photocopy or photo of your ID. Leaving the actual ID with them feels unnecessary and risky in case it gets misplaced. I also found it uncomfortable that there was a notebook inside the room listing all possible charges and penalties — from stained towels to damaged items. It honestly felt like almost every action had a corresponding fine. The atmosphere became more stressful than relaxing. To make things worse, they do not even sell alcoholic drinks inside the resort, yet they charge very high corkage fees. Charging ₱100 corkage for a single can of beer is honestly excessive. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and unfortunately will be our first and last stay here. I sincerely hope the management improves their facilities, room amenities, guest security, and overall policies because the resort has potential, but the current experience does not justify the price at all.
