We went there in April which is a shoulder season. It was not too crowded and we liked it. It is just behind the shopping and restaurants street, Krupowki St. There is a grocery store too. The swimming pool is small but 2 saunas are nice which was open 2 to 9 pm. Breakfast had many items, hot and cold, fruits and vegetables, different kinds of cold meats and cheeses, salads and desserts. The hotel is very old but mostly renovated or upgraded. Most of the rooms had a balcony and a mountain view. Our bed was very old and a dent where bum is. It was so bad my husband could not sleep. The next day we asked to change the room and they could do it as the hotel had room available. There was bottle water, fridge and kettle, instant coffee and tea in the room. It was a very good stay. Thanks Agoda and Krupowki 40 hotel!

During my stay at this hotel, I encountered significant challenges that made the experience quite unpleasant. The most notable issue was the lack of assistance with luggage. Guests are expected to carry their own bags, no matter how heavy or bulky, and regardless of their physical condition. As someone with a heart condition, I struggled to carry my heavy luggage to the second floor, especially since I was on a 15-day trip across Poland and had packed accordingly. My wife, who has back issues, was forced to drag three large bags up the stairs. Unfortunately, no staff member offered help—even when they saw us struggling, they looked the other way. To make matters worse, the elevator was out of order for the entire duration of our 3-night, 4-day stay. While the location of the hotel is excellent and couldn’t be more convenient, the service left much to be desired. Most of the staff, particularly the women, seemed indifferent and unhelpful, behaving as though they were from a different industry altogether. However, there was one standout: a young gentleman named Lucas. He went above and beyond to assist guests, including helping my family book train tickets to Warsaw. His kindness and professionalism were the only bright spots in an otherwise disappointing experience. As for the amenities, the swimming pool appeared to be in good condition, though we didn’t get a chance to use it. The hotel claims to provide drinking water, but they only offer two small bottles for the entire stay, which is insufficient. Adding to my dissatisfaction, I left a personal item in the room after check-out and tried contacting the hotel several times about it. Unfortunately, they refused to respond on the same phone number that was so prompt and reliable before my stay. In conclusion, while the location is unbeatable and Lucas deserves praise, the lack of basic services and support overshadowed any positives. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made to their service standards.
