This is my second time at the hotel, the rooms and hotel were as beautiful as ever but areas around the spa facilities are looking a little tired. Rust around the ice sink, snow shower no longer working, rust around the jets in the swimming pool, paint flaking off the wall and broken infrared beds in the relaxation area as well as the lights that are supposed to look like stars in the relaxation room broken, this area can definitely do with a little TLC however I can’t fault anything else, the staff were amazing as always.

Beautiful hotel

I booked this for my wife’s birthday. Since it was just two weekends before Christmas, it was slightly more expensive. We had a brilliant time. If you go, I recommend you build your itinerary around social hour and use of the spa. We enjoyed complimentary mulled wine, before heading down to the pool, steam room, saunas and snow room. We enjoyed the spa so much, we got up early the next day and did it all again! We didn’t dine at the restaurant, but ate out in Glasgow and then came back for a cocktail, however we did have breakfast there, which was totally amazing. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming. I think the biggest compliment we can pay is that we can’t wait to find a reason (and the money!) to come back.
