Kawin Mountain Villa

I had a very enjoyable stay at Kawin Mountain Villa. If you are looking for a peaceful place surrounded by nature, this is a great choice. The villa offers a completely different experience from a normal hotel. The natural surroundings, mountain atmosphere, and quiet environment make it a perfect place to relax and disconnect. Waking up surrounded by nature and enjoying the views was one of the highlights of my stay. The rooms were comfortable, and the owner was very friendly, helpful, and responsive whenever we needed anything. The people around the area were also very kind and welcoming, which made the stay feel even more special. One important thing to mention for future guests: having a motorbike is highly recommended. The location gives you a great nature experience, but transportation can be a challenge without one. Bolt is available, but sometimes it takes longer to arrive and can become expensive, especially if you plan to move around often. A few suggestions for improvement: the swimming pool water was very cold during my stay, and adding a way to warm the pool water would make the experience much better, especially for guests who want to enjoy it longer. Also, it would be helpful to have something inside the room to protect from insects/flying bugs, as the natural location means you are close to nature. Overall, I had a great experience at Kawin Mountain Villa. It is a beautiful place for people who appreciate nature, peaceful surroundings, and a more authentic stay away from busy areas. With a few small improvements, it can become an even better experience.

We stayed for 2 nights after a week in Bangkok and it was the perfect location to relax our bodies and minds after the hustle and bustle of the big city. The view is stunning and the villa looks beautiful, just like advertised in the photos. The bed is really comfortable and we really loved the surrounding glass walls that allowed the beautifull panorama directly from the room. You get breakfast and dinner, both plenty and delicious. This is especially necessary if you do not have a car because the location is quite remote and you do not have restaurants nearby. There is a small shop nearby (100 meters) however, where you can get some drinks and snacks. As the villa is quite remote, you need to arrange you return trip to Chiang Mai in advanced. We took a Grab from Chiang Mai to the villa and arranged the return with the same driver. The plastic plants all over the villa were disappointing. It's too bad to have such a beautifull place in the middle of nature and put plastic plants. Be SUPER CAREFUL if you're planning on getting drunk or if you have kids with you there. There's nothing to stop someone from falling, and it's quite a drop.

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the villas nice appeal and the breathtaking views it offered. The room was nice, as is customary for newly build accommodations. The kitchen was equally nice, providing a delightful setting for breakfast and dinner with nice view. The bathroom met basic standards. The bed nice and comfortable. Overal the room provides the comfort and relaxation you expect. The railing around the seating outside area could benefit from enhanced protection due to its low height and the significant drop-off below. The pool was relatively small, primarily serving as a refreshing spot for dips and cooling off during warmer months. However, given its recent establishment, the establishment still faces several areas that require attention and improvement. 1. Upon arrival we encountered no staff member was present. Fortunately, we had their phone number, what help us to be able to check in a few moments later. 2. The check-in process lacked clarity. While we were only asked about our breakfast and dinner no options were offered only after we complained about the food given we could change the food. 3. The water temperature in the bathtub was consistently cold, prompting us to complain. Despite there efforts, the water remained to cold for a relaxing bath, but very hot water during our shower. The water was not mixed with hot and cold water. 4. The following day, on our return the room was not cleaned. We contacted the owner, we were not informed about the availability of room cleaning services. Or as mention we had to tell we needed this? The room was later cleaned but only basic. 5. The location of the establishment is somewhat remote, necessitating self-transportation for those who wish to explore the surrounding area. Overal the few minus points can be easily dealt with and if so this is a place to stay and enjoy for sure.
