    We loved our stay at Kanaguya. From the lovely, courteous and warm staff, the beautiful and historical site and room-every detail has a story, the delightful food, to the numerous baths; we absolutely loved our stay!

    My daughter and I had the most magical stopover in Shibu Onsen at the Kanaguya! The facility is as advertised - genuine, historical, and just as pretty as you could imagine. Our room was superb, tatami-style, very roomy, with a comfy sitting area. The ryokan is so interesting, and BEAUTIFUL - day and night. The private onsen made it super worth choosing the Kanaguya. I thoroughly enjoyed them. The staff was SO super kind and generous, always with a smile. Dinner and breakfast were huge affairs, and very traditional Japanese style. Do yourself a favor and make this your choice for your stop in Shibu Onsen - was a highlight of our trip!!!
