    Great hotel and the staff was extremely helpful. The only issue was the aircon was really warm in my particular room despite me calling staff to the room 3 times. They couldnt get it sorted and the replacement room didnt have the bund view i paid for. So i stuck to my room but it was really warm so they brought me a fan. The staff was really helpful and tried their best to make it work within what was possible. I think apart from the view the best part of the hotel is the exceptional service. The aircon was not in control of the staff but more of the hotel needs to sort the aircon out especially when you are so high up.

    Stunning hotel, very unique experience. Rooms are lovely but the showers are open onto the communal living area in the suites, so bit tricky as a family of four. Just needs an opaque screen. Otherwise highly recommended! Food was also amazing

    Booked this as this is the tallest hotel in Shanghai (I think). Plus: Room is huge for the stateroom King with beautiful wardrobe. Minus: 1. Shower: had to turn the shower to the max pressure to warm water - super annoying. 2. Incidental charge: had to pay 15000RMB (3000SGD) as incidental deposit and this is immediately charged to your card?? Checked out 29May and still waiting for refund to come in. View : there is no view per se. All you see are beams surrounding it and clouds covering everything. If you are expecting views, you might be disappointed. I knew this when I read the reviews so it’s ok for me. Noise : we stayed at level 86 and the lounge was at level 84. There were a few nights where it was so noisy as the lounge only closed at 12am and you can literally see people moving around, laughing and talking, just directly below your room. It was so bad we requested for a room change and although it was done, it already left a negative experience for us. This is the main reason to leave a negative review as we thought it was not managed in a way it should be, like we were told : “oh, u know how loud they can get.” Alamak, excuse me, why do I need this information please! We had to request to change to higher floors and they did it the next day and placed us on 90 floor - but we had to call to remind them the next day. Request to stay on level 90 onwards if you have already paid for this hotel. Food: we only paid for breakfast buffet. Although I liked the idea of the half order/half buffet style, food taste wasn’t really fantastic but variety is pretty ok. They serve atas sparkling water, butter, jam, freshly squeezed juice. Lobby: everyday when you travel out of the hotel, you have to go to lobby and then take another lift to level 1. Example: stay at level 90, u have to take the lift to level 101 Lobby, from here take the lift to level 1. Yes it’s only a few minutes but quite a hassle la. WHY we do not recommend: for this hefty price, you could have Ritz or W hotel etc and the service was really sub par. Overall just disappointed.
