We found the Insika Lodge to be a very calm and relaxing stay, especially after a full day of taking in the sights. The lodge is not in the centre of things but the complimentary shuttle brings everything within easy access. I could not talk about the lodge without mentioning their incredible staff. Top notch, and I mean everyone! Couldn’t be more helpful, pleasant or accommodating. A terrific experience.

Insika is a beautiful property that’s very well maintained and close to Victoria Falls. Everyone who works there is very professional and helpful (special shoutout to Blessing!) and the food/drinks are excellent. Would highly recommend!

Insika Lodge was a nice place to stay during our time at VF. Some of the staff were pleasant and lovely, and some not as friendly but that’s okay. They made our birthdays special (at a cost to us) which was appreciated. The room is very nice and you can see pumbas outside on some days.
The food in the restaurant is not very pleasant - one vegetarian option per meal but none of them tasted nice. We were stuck in the hotel for several meals due to heavy rains otherwise we would have eaten elsewhere. We barely touched our meals yet were never asked if we enjoyed the meal or if they could make us something else. The breakfast isn’t great if you’re used to 4/5 star hotels - gone off fruit and hot water for tea which was always cold. Ordering from the menu was good though. The water in the room is not bottled but filtered tap water.
We also noticed several times that things in our room had been moved about and not put back which was frustrating. Our teddy was thrown on the floor several times after the cleaner had been. The room also had a red ant problem in the bathroom but the bug spray helped.
There was also a miscommunication where we told we had to pay for a sunset cruise we didn’t actually formally book - we had only enquired. When we said we didn’t book it we were told to pay a 100% cancellation fee which we refused to do. That was extremely frustrating and put quite a damper on the trip.
Overall it’s a decent lodge with potential but we wouldn’t come back here to stay.
