    The restaurant associated with this hotel came highly recommended, so I was really looking forward to my stay in Eger. However, the whole experience was disappointing. The hotel is pretty basic. The AC was hardly working, and there was no remote to control it with; the WiFi was terribly slow when working at all; the pressure in the shower was so low that I couldn’t wash my hair; my sheet was stained, although it was thankfully changed the second day; and lastly there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. However, the most annoying were the incompetent hotel staff, and rude staff at the restaurant. Hotel facilities needn’t be fantastic if the staff are friendly and efficient. However, this was not the case and I really regretted my decision to stay at this hotel and dine in their restaurant.

    Even though rooms are advertised to have air conditioning, this is not true. There is a dated fan system which is not effective at all, or it was not working or it was just simply switched off like at so many places, museums, etc. we visited. When I spoke to staff they told me that all rooms have the same cooling system, and the hotel is fully booked and there was nothing they could do to assist. Currently Agoda is looking into my complaint. The best thing about this hotel is its location and the breakfast.
