After getting a deal ( So I thought) with Agoda, upon registering, the Windrift insisted upon another 20 dollars per day as a “ Resort Fee.” What was I supposed to do? Walk away? And stay where? My room was already paid for and was non refundable. They also charged me an additional $10 for I don’t know what. It was put on my credit card.
Skipping the fact that the rooms were cramped, the bathroom had a pocket door setup where the door was too heavy for the hardware. My wife kept calling me over to help her open and close the door. The room housekeeping was a disaster. I make it a point to leave $5 in an envelope every day. I’d tell the housekeeper when we were leaving, when we’d be back. The room wouldn’t be done . It happened EVERY day. Our last full day there, we came back from the beach at 4PM and she just started to make the bed. That’s ridiculous. Of course she only cleaned up half the room , but evidently the first thing she did was take the 5 dollars. All in all, no way will we ever stay there again.

Excellent location on the beach! Easy walking on a small beach with 2 rows of umbrellas and chairs provided by The Windrift Icona. Lots of eateries on site and bar options. Food was very good and normal resort pricing. We'll go gain.
