    Our stay at ibis Paris Tour Eiffel Cambronne was, unfortunately, far from a pleasant experience. Despite being part of a well-known international hotel chain and located in a prime area of Paris, the property fell well below our expectations, particularly in terms of hospitality, room comfort and basic facilities. From the moment we arrived, we did not feel welcomed. The staff did not greet us or make any effort to offer a courteous welcome. Even when we asked questions they did not understand, the response was simply “Huh?” rather than a polite “Pardon?” or “Sorry?” It was surprising to encounter such an unwelcoming attitude in a hotel belonging to a major international chain. We also asked about rooms with Eiffel Tower views, which were advertised on the hotel’s website, but the staff could not provide a clear answer. We were told that some rooms on the sixth floor had views, but apparently not of the Eiffel Tower, which only added to the confusion. The room was shockingly small, even compared to other ibis hotels we’ve stayed at in London and Dubai. Its awkward corner layout made it difficult for two people to move around, while the bathroom was so cramped that even using the shower and toilet comfortably was a challenge. Basic amenities such as toothbrushes, combs and vanity kits were also completely absent. To make matters worse, when we needed an iron, reception failed to answer our calls. We were eventually directed to a laundry room where the hotel’s only iron was out of order, with no immediate solution available. The location is undoubtedly a plus, but good location alone cannot make up for poor hospitality, uncomfortable rooms and inadequate facilities. Overall, a disappointing experience that did not meet our expectations of an international hotel chain. I would not recommend it, especially to travellers who value comfort and good service.
