When you reserve a room that says river view it should be on the river ! The girl at the desk said that river view means it can be a room facing a river view room. She then gave a great room!

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on our recent trip to Savannah. The location was fantastic and we could walk almost anywhere in the historic district. However, the room was very dated and needed some updates. The nightstand was scratched and dented very badly. The mattress was very uncomfortable due to indentations. The light in the area just outside the bathroom was so dim that you couldn't use it without the bathroom light on and the door open. The rest of the hotel seemed okay, but we did not use any of the facilities or eat at any of the restaurants.
