Our stay had many positives, but also some disappointments.
While there were lots of lovely aspects, a number of details held it back from reaching a truly comfortable experience. For example, one light in our room never worked despite the staff trying to fix it, and across the resort there are beautifully designed spaces like the lobby alongside areas that feel overlooked.
The spa facilities were a let-down. There’s no sauna - only a steam room, and when we tried it, it wasn’t very warm, didn’t smell pleasant, and wasn’t especially clean.
The pool was also disappointing — the water was cloudy, which is a serious health and safety concern, suggesting poor filtration and inadequate chlorination. Given this was one of the reasons we chose the hotel, it was frustrating not to be able to use it. We reported the pool issue by WhatsApp and email but received no response. During monsoon season, I understand pool upkeep is a challenge, but proper maintenance or a rain cover should really be in place to ensure guests can enjoy the pool when the rain has passed. Pools should be crystal clear.
The rooms themselves are fairly simple in design, with basic facilities like the tea tray. The digital set up is a problem - the TV was really loud and we had to call for help - someone came along with a separate remote so we could control the volume. The reading light by the bed only works when the main lights are on defeating its purpose and there are a loads of lights all with their own switch so it’s a game to turn them off without turning one back on!
The gym was usable but limited as some equipment was incomplete so not all weights could be used as there were no stoppers to stop the weights falling off.
That said, there were some real highlights. The shower in the first room was one of the best I’ve ever had but when we moved there was a horrendous sounds like a jet taking off when we showered.
We moved because we experienced noise issues coming from outside the hotel that was not the fault of the hotel. The most wonderful front desk staff member moved us to another room on our last night. Her warmth, efficiency, and care was exceptional throughout the stay — she honestly deserves a promotion. However, while the new room was quiet at first, we soon had sound issues here with the lift outside making a dinging noise every 5 minutes and what sounded like kitchen washing up from next door or coming through the vents.
We also loved the pottery artisan demonstration, where guests could try traditional ceramics, and the daily chai and snacks in the courtyard were a thoughtful touch. The North Club restaurant served us a great meal, cocktails at the bar were excellent, and the breakfast buffet was a real standout — plentiful, varied, and with attentive service. Freshly made dosas, eggs, and pancakes alongside Indian and international options were superb. The breakfast team and management deserve particular praise for running things so smoothly.
The location is convenient for the airport, though it’s a bit far from Jaipur’s main attractions, which may not suit all visitors.
One final low point was room service. On our last night after the room move we ordered room service as we were tired, both of our orders arrived completely different from what was advertised on the menu and what we asked for - the turkey club sandwich was ordered with a request for the lettuce and tomato to be removed but then came with egg and cucumber which was not even listed as ingredients. The tomato and bocconcini panini arrived as a cold sweetcorn and pepper mayo salad with melted cheese - so no tomato or pesto. We had to return them, which was disappointing. I was informed that the chef thought we might like it which was honestly just bizarre.
Overall, this hotel is a really fair price but really needs improvements and attention to detail to ensure it runs smoothly. The staff are warm and welcoming, and there are plenty of thoughtful touches. But maintenance iss
