We were very happy with the Hyatt Place! Our King room was spacious and clean, the staff was friendly and the location was great within a short walk to Falls Park on the Reedy and many restaurants and bars.

I traveled for business and this hotel is mainly valet parking. There is a public lot behind the hotel, but carrying your bags to the hotel is not so easy. The rooms are darker color browns, which seem outdated. The furniture was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the vanity was nice too. The check-in person that I dealt with didn't smile at me once or say thanks, no pleasantries. There's a fine line between professionalism and welcoming friendliness. She didn't offer me my waters, apparently you're supposed to get two for free. I only overheard another customer thanking his front desk agent for the ones he got. The location of the hotel is good and there are restaurants and shops around. Seemed fairly safe and quiet.
