My first room on the 5th floor was not good; the ottoman showed either an animal like a dog or cat chewed the wood plus worn carpeted flooring had visible stains and many pulled places in it; there was heavy smoke smell throughout the hallway that could be smelt walls in the room that eventually bothered my eyes. This is suppose to be a non-smoking hotel! Upon my
complaints, the staff person moved me and my husband to a room on the 4th floor which was much better, but had worn carpet, lacked bath wash, and pillows below average pillows etc.
It’s been years since we stayed in this Hyatt Hotel in Hoover, AL, and can definitely tell it has aged. It definitely needs renovating/upgrading to keep up with its other competitors in the area!
On a positive note, the hotel staff was very cordial/professional throughout our 1 day stay.

Got room on a great location and for a great price but could have been a little cleaner. Nothing crazy. I would book again.

We had to wait almost 2 hours after check in because they did not have enough sheets clean for our beds. They moved us to a king bed room. When we asked for an extra blanket (because we lost a bed) all they had was a sheet
