We had a wonderful stay at hotel white. The room was quite spacious, clean and had all facilities for a comfortable stay. The staff was polite and cooperative. The best part was the view from the balcony, entire shimla in a scenery.

I stayed at the White for 5 nights in early April. The hotel is very well situated. It's just a 5-minute walk east of Christ Church, and around one hour to the Vireroy's Lodge (when you take your time). The view from the room is grand. There's limited food facility, and you can order and have room service. The rooms decoration is definitely early 1970s, which give them a certain charm (for those lucky enough to have known this period). There's hot water galore, beds are comfortably warm. The only thing missing is a heater. The staff are helpful and courteous. There are plenty of restaurants around the Ridge. Frothy Mugs, 30 m away from the Indian Coffee House, is a great restaurant with a view. It'll cost you 400Rs and a 15 minutes taxi ride to arrive near the hotel from the ISBT bus stand.
