I stayed at Hotel Vista Lago for 2 nights and it was a brilliant and amazing experience there. I was initially worried as I had to use the funicular to visit the hotel every time. But I found that it was worth it! The village, Brunate, has a beautiful view that you can find there only. Especially I can enjoy the view from the balcony at the hotel in the early morning and evening as well. And the staff is the most helpful ever to give us good advice to get to know that area and for your specific situations. I needed to leave the hotel early in the morning to catch the flight and she prepared the breakfast in advance with bread, cheeses, and juice. The hotel is not too big size but you can find everything you need for your stay. Just to let you know that it is difficult to find the supermarket in Bruneta, so I recommend buying things like drinks or snacks or fruits in Carfu near the funicular in Como.
