Hotel U Suteru

The hotel itself is at a beautiful hotel, renovated tastefully and keeping all the historic details possible. There is a Nespresso coffee maker. In my room the toiletries were bit weird - three types of shower/hand/body wash gel but, but no hair conditioner nor body milk as promised, and no tea. Do not book "cozy double room". It is very small and dark, even for one person with just a small business suitcase and a notebook bag. There was basically just bed and that was it., The room always felt stuffy, it was impossible to get fresh air and I could not get any sleep there. I felt depressed there as all the rooms at the pictures light and had space. Also, keep in mind that there is no elevater and it is a small city building, hence the stairs are very steep and no elevator. Could be a real problem for somebody even with a slight knee or hip or respiratory problems. Other downside, it comes with a breakfast which i did¨nt even get to smell, not speaking about seeing or eating it as it was only starting at 8 and I had to leave at 7 every day. This is very late start. Usually the breakfasts start at 6.30 in Prague hotels. I had been to so many... However, what really influenced my stay was the arrival. There is always a bunch of what looks like Erasmus students people standing and sitting right at the entrance, music from the "restaurant" loud like at a house club, ALL of them beers in their hands, packs of the cigarettes and their bags around the table at the empty "restaurant" and you clearly smell pot is being smoked. Reception door locked, you enter via this restaurant with one of the partying youngsters, who takes through the door with a table TOILETTES on it. Wow. I think this hotel is just a money laundering cover for someone. Being a tourism/hospitality professional among other, nobody really running this as a business would tolerate this. Yet they robbed me on calculating the city tax wrongly.
