Hotel Tapovan Hill

I loved this hotel .. staff was great

Staying at Tapovan Hill was a complete mistake and a waste of money. We chose this hotel because we were staying in Rishikesh only for a few hours and wanted a budget-friendly option. The property looked clean, pleasant, and well-maintained in photos, which turned out to be very misleading. Location: The hotel is located extremely high up on a hill. You have to walk a lot just to reach basic places, which is very inconvenient—especially if you’re tired or short on time. Check-in & Rooms: Check-in time is 12 PM. We had already informed the hotel that we would arrive late, and they assured us it wouldn’t be an issue. We reached around 7:30 PM, which is more than reasonable. Despite this, we were made to wait because the rooms were still not cleaned. Once we entered the room, we were shocked: • Fungus on the walls • Visible leakage • Extremely dirty and smelly bathrooms • Toilets clearly not flushed or cleaned It was obvious that proper housekeeping had not been done. We called the staff, but they showed no real concern. They merely sprayed room freshener and flushed the toilet without properly cleaning anything, and then left. We avoided using the bathroom as much as possible because no one was willing to address the issue. Somehow, we managed to get through the night, but it was extremely uncomfortable. Hygiene & Safety Issues: The milk sachets provided in the tea/coffee maker were expired, which is a serious hygiene and safety concern and completely unacceptable in a hospitality setting. Staff & Hospitality: The staff appeared uninterested, unhappy, and unmotivated. The reception staff was cold and unwelcoming, showing no sense of hospitality. What was even more concerning was that the staff themselves were speaking negatively about the hotel, which is a major red flag. Breakfast Experience: We were told breakfast would be available from 8:00 AM. Around 9:00–9:30 AM, when we asked for breakfast, we were told the kitchen was not open yet. Despite paying a high amount, we couldn’t even get breakfast. We also noticed fellow travelers around us facing similar issues. Food & Amenities: The tea we ordered was bad. We ended up eating at a nearby hotel instead of their restaurant due to hygiene concerns. Overall Verdict: While the infrastructure has potential, the maintenance is poor, the staff is badly managed, and the overall experience is deeply disappointing. The hotel urgently needs better housekeeping, trained staff, and proper management. This stay was a complete waste of money. I would strongly not recommend Tapovan Hill to anyone, regardless of how short their stay is.

Interior were good. But the accessibility of hotel is poor. Also the price it charged against the quality of room is not good. I could have got easily in 3.5k great room. Worst, there were no vibe. It's just room. They made swimming pool which is dirty and nobody was near. Won't recommend the hotel.

Staff are very bad...hotel is ok ..no one to listen.. very very bad experience
