Hotel Sultan

Basic room (no fridge or kettle) but comfortable bed, nice bathroom and balcony (AC turns off when opening balcony door). Tourist tax to pay at check-in. Amazing all you can eat hot breakfast from 8-10am (worth 20 euro per person). Checkout is a bit early at 10am. Nice pool and loungers (bring own beach towel). One block from beach and from centre walking street. Short walk to bus stop and to Aldi. Plenty mini markets nearby. The streets surrounding the hotel have recently been redone in tiles with no kerb plenty seats and planters and look really nice. C'an Picafort is quiet town with amazing beach with nice sand and clear blue water. 90% of restaurants are tourist traps but at the south end there is a nice modern tapas restaurant called Vermutería Ca'n Jano we enjoyed. There is an island/tourist premium everything costs about 50% more than mainland Spain (each meal will be at least €20 per person and could easily be double that. But supermarket prices are similar so we got salad boxes for lunch from Aldi for a couple of euros. 2 beach beds with umbrella (includes safe) costs €18.15 (cash only) so if we were doing more than 2 beach days we'd buy our own umbrella (the hotel sells them not sure price). If you like the quiet then I recommend sticking to C'an Picafort (e.g. just do walks south along beach front) and avoid taking bus to Port d'Alcúdia because it is insanely busy, more tourists than I've ever seen in my life!

I was a bit nervous beforehand due to some reviews I had read, but my experience was honestly so much better than expected. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The breakfast was consistently warm and not cold like some others had mentioned. The location couldn’t be more perfect, everything you need is just a short walk away, which made getting around super easy. The housekeeping staff did a great job, towels were refreshed daily or every other day depending on use, and my sheets were changed too. It’s also a great spot for solo travelers, I felt very comfortable and safe throughout my stay. I noticed that most of the guests were German, probably 95%. For a budget friendly option, I truly have no complaints. I’d definitely come back again!

breakfast a wee bit slow but if you go early its fine,staff freindly and polite,beds made up every day,fresh towels daily although they were a wee bit worn out,all in all great value for the price.
