I had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Selesa. Upon entering the room, there was no water supply at all! The shower had no water and the bidet was also not functioning. When I informed the staff, instead of taking immediate action to resolve the issue, I was asked what solution I wanted. The staff also mentioned that no other customers had complained about the water problem, which felt dismissive rather than helpful.
On top of that, the toilet was already smelly when I checked in. Basic amenities such as soap and toothpaste were not provided, which is unacceptable for a hotel charging RM115 per night. The overall service quality was significantly worse than rooms I’ve stayed in that cost RM70.
This experience did not meet even basic hospitality standards, and I would not recommend this hotel unless there are major improvements in maintenance and customer service.
