Friendly staff and upscale location. A highlight is the private beach access stairs. It has plenty of convenient sun chairs to use as well. Breakfast alone is worth the stay.

We had a front-row seat to tropical storm Dana in late October, 2024. We arrived the day before it did so we had one nice day in the sun. Then it came onshore just as we returned from dinner. The lightning and thunder, with high winds, continued all night. We brought into the room the patio furniture so it would not blow away or come through the glass door. Despite all that, the hotel was a wonderful place to spend 3 nights. There are numerous restaurants in the old town about 5 minutes away on foot, and the beach is gorgeous, even better if the sun came out. One piece of advice that may or may not apply to your visit - we had lunch at a beach restaurant and spent the entire meal swatting flies off of our food even as we tried to eat it. That was never the case at any of the restaurants in the town. There is direct access to the beach via about 125 steps, from the hotel, or you can walk the long way around on the street. Beach loungers and umbrellas are available from another location a few minutes away on the beach. The only thing that was not ok is the jacuzzi in our room did not work. They said they are old and they cannot get repair parts for them. We were disappointed by that. So if you get a room with a jacuzzi, you should fill it up and see if the jets work before you move in. We didn't know until 2 days after we got there. Other than that, the hotel is a hidden gem, and everything about it is great. The breakfast, which had many different choices - fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, croissants, yogurt, and more was enough food for the whole day until dinner.
