Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I’ve stayed at different hotels before, but I have never faced this many basic issues during a single stay. When we arrived at around 10:45 AM, which was only about 1 hour and 15 minutes before their stated 12 PM check-in time, we were told that we would have to pay ₹300 for early check-in. I understand that hotels can have an early check-in policy, but ₹300 felt excessive for barely over an hour. The receptionist was also quite rude while dealing with us. The room itself was very small and cramped. On the positive side, the room was clean and the almirah was also clean, so housekeeping in the room was not a major problem. However, the room size was definitely disappointing. The bathroom was a major issue. It wasn't properly clean, the soap holder was full of water, and there was almost no water pressure from the tap. It was genuinely difficult even to brush my teeth or wash my face. There were also some small bugs in the bathroom. They didn't bother me much personally, but they shouldn't really be there in the first place. The bathroom was also quite congested. They had a food menu, but the phone number provided with it didn't even work. When we asked the receptionist about ordering tea, we were told that we couldn't order tea separately and had to order a meal along with it. That was quite inconvenient. Another major problem was the extremely bad smell outside the hotel. During our stay, there appeared to be municipal waste dumped right in front of the hotel, and the smell was honestly unbearable. Every time we left or returned to the hotel, there was a very strong smell of waste. I don't know whether the municipality regularly dumps waste there or whether it was just the situation during our stay, but it seriously affected the experience. The door lock was also not working properly. When we informed the receptionist, instead of simply checking and fixing the issue, they suggested that it might have been caused by the previous guests. That response was frustrating because we were simply reporting a problem with the room we had been given. Even the bucket and mug in the bathroom were dusty and not properly clean. Another strange design issue was the electrical switchboard being behind the bed, while the bed was pushed right against the wall. Because of this, it was extremely difficult to charge my phone while using the bed. There was also an issue with the checkout timing and electricity. The booking information mentioned an 11 AM checkout, whereas 12 PM is more commonly seen as a standard checkout time at many hotels. The one-hour difference itself wasn't the biggest problem, but the electricity was completely switched off around 11 AM. We had to use our phone flashlights while packing our bags before checking out. That made the checkout experience even more unpleasant. Overall: There were a few positives — the room itself was clean and the almirah was clean — but there were simply too many basic problems: expensive early check-in, rude reception, a very small room, poor bathroom cleanliness, almost no water pressure, bugs, an unclean bathroom bucket and mug, a faulty lock, inconvenient switch placement, a non-working food-ordering number, restrictions on ordering tea, and an extremely bad smell outside the hotel. I've stayed in many hotels, but I genuinely haven't had an experience like this before. The management needs to pay much more attention to basic maintenance, cleanliness, guest service, and the overall guest experience.
