The hotel is lovely. The rooms are nicely decorated, the pool is beautiful, and the open-air dining was enjoyable.
When we arrived they told us we had a “free upgrade” and put two of us in a room with two king beds. Then a few minutes later we got a message that it was only for one night and they were going to move us the next day. That was weird but no big deal. But when we got back to the hotel the next day from our outing, we hadn’t been moved like the had said. Our luggage was still in the old room and they kept asking for our key. I wanted my things to be moved first before I gave up my access to my own luggage. It felt strange. So they watched us move our stuff. The way it was handled felt uncomfortable.
But once we moved, it was all fine.
The restaurant staff were very polite and the food was good.
They let us keep our bags there after we checked out so we didn’t have to bring them to our last outing, and then let us wait in the lobby to be picked up.
All in all, I recommend the hotel.

All was a good stay. A must see in Coasta Rica. Beautiful beach, beautiful drive.
