Once reaching the curb at the front, I was met with friendly smiles and conversation from "Bleu". He took care of my luggage, my car, and I had no worries.
Checked in and went straight to my room. Room was a queen double, and was perfect. Clean, inviting, with all the amenities anyone could ask for. Bathroom was large, and well stocked with "goodies" in case you forgot something.
The hotel itself is historical and the pride of that exudes from the employees that work there. The employees matched the opulence of the hotel.
The hotel restaurant, the Criollo, was dining at its finest. "Johnson" was my waiter and it was on top of everything and made my evening meal all it could be. The food itself was delicious!
All in all, it was a wonderful little trip for me. I will be back for my next little trip! Thank you to all at the Monteleone!!

Really disappointing service for a 4 star hotel of this calibre and price. We wanted to love this hotel but the terrible electronic system (unable to be checked into room when we arrived due to the system being down, therefore unable to be recognised as a guest when visiting the Carousel bar, reservation disappearing from the Criollo booking system even though we had email confirmation of the booking to show the restaurant staff, business centre printer didn't work and when we called reception for assistance they said they would send someone to help but no-one came, same with WiFi - it didn't work and reception said they would call me back to fix it and never did, room key not working, no one manning reception multiple times (see photo) and having to wait there for assistance multiple times) and some truly awful staff (Pia, at the night front desk in particular was unnecessarily rude and obstinate to both myself and my friend staying in another room on multiple occasions) really dampened our holiday. Positive points: Housekeeping and room service were excellent and a credit to the establishment. Great location in the French Quarter. The room we stayed in (Preferred Double Double) was fine.
