    Good location. Quirky hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Upgraded to bigger room. Strange shaped room- but had private bathroom. Stairs a bit precarious but this is a Dutch trait - not the hotels issue. Cleaned each morning and fresh towels. Older room but felt it was in line with the culture and history of the tall, narrow buildings of Amsterdam ..

    We stayed at The Hotel Mansion on the second floor. It was very noisy. You can hear everyone staying in adjacent rooms. You could also hear people walking around above us. There are lots of steps throughout the floors. As you come out the lift on the second floor. We had four steep steps down to room 206. We were supposed to have a two double beds in our room and on arrive we were told none of the rooms had twin double beds. The room we were given had one double bed and it didn’t have a bar fridge. I will follow this up with Agoda as we paid extra for the bigger room. On a positive note. Staff was lovely and even printed out some tickets and vouchers I had. Rooms were clean and the location was great. Close walk to everything.

    Attic room was perfect for group of 3. Room was clean and spacious for having 4 beds. Stairs are steep to get into the room but this part of the Amsterdam experience while staying in a 100yr old building. Bathroom is “open” as in the shower, toilet, sink have no dividing walls.

    This is the 3rd time I've stayed here and I don't need to look elsewhere! Great location, helpful staff and clean, comfy rooms. Recommended!
