    I had arrived very early and the reception wanted to charge me an extra 40 for the use of the room before check in time. The room I was given was strictly NO frills, small and grotty and the shower head was not cleaned. The water from the bathroom did not drain out and the floor remained constantly wet. No lift, so luggage has to be carried up and down the stairs. Entry into the hotel is needlessly complicated, having to ring the bell each time to be allowed in. The Value for Money consideration makes it a ridiculous rip-off. For the price I paid, I would have expected much more. The only selling point is that it is located five blocks away from the Plaza de Armes. This is the only hotel in all my 10 days in Peru where I can say: it was really not worth it!
