Good value. Good location. Good staff. Basic but good value hotel.

Pros: location, few minutes walk to bus terminal and monorail station. Showering is very good! Cons: booked mistakenly the smoking room in title but added remark that we want non-smoking room! The receptionists did not even bother to double check at all, just gave us the smoking room, when we requested to change, they didn’t accept even when their door key did not work well. The room was just awful, the smell inside was just horrible and suffocating! Their English was not very proficient. Breakfast: we stayed there for 3nights, the same breakfast every morning, tasted very salty and not good! Room did not have much space it was more like single room not semi/standard double room as they listed!

It's a perfect place to stay if your in a limited budget.

I want to express my displeasure at what happened with check-in. I checked into your hotel last night at around 9:30pm, having traveled direcrtly from the airport. I had sent an email weeks ago informing your hotel that the Agoda booking needed to correct the number of guests to two. Since it could not be done through Agoda, I directly emailed the hotel. I had not recieved any response. When I checked into the hotel to remind them of the email I sent, I was told that they did not recieve and email and there would be an extra charge of 8,000 yen for the additional guest. I asked if that was the case, if there were additional or larger rooms instead. The man at the counter did not bother to look at the computer and said no. This turned out to be untrue, because when I checked both the Agoda and Livemax websites, there are single and twin bedrooms available from the 20th to the 25th. Furthermore, he said my friend was not allowed to enter the room. I invited my friend up the room so that she could use the bathroom while we figure out a new hotel accomodation for her. My friend was going to leave her luggage at the lobby to show that she was not going to stay, but I told her to bring it up to the room because the staff was not willing to watch it for her and would not be responsible if it was stolen. Several minutes later, we hear an angry knock at the door and that same man told her to get out. Keep in mind that we are both young women so this aggressivess was unsettling. This is especially upsetting because we are trying to figure out last-minute accommodations because your hotel did not answer an email from weeks ago, sprung extra charges, and did not bother to make room changes when we asked. We ultimately found a new hotel for her. And guess what? When the staff at the new hotel saw me, she kindly asked if there was one or two people staying over. She stated that if there was two, there would be no extra charge but that the online Agoda reservation would have to be redone to account for two. We said one person. When I accompanied her up the room to make sure she was fine and settled, no one at the new hotel knocked on our door to kick me out. When I came back to the hotel with the intention of talking to that rude staff member about how unacceptable the service was, a woman came out instead. I told her about the situation, asked why no one responded to the email, and asked if there was a manager. At first, she also said the hotel did not recieve an email. When I showed her the email, she found it and said that a new person was working at the hotel and perhaps didn't know the language well enough. I wrote that email in Japanese and English. She also said that there was no manager at the store. Not answering a customer email is poor service, but isn't it strange that the excuse is that the person doesn't know Japanese or English? I also told her that it was unacceptable what happened because this created a safety issue for young women, and told her that this situation could have been avoided if the email was answered. To summarize the problems: 1) The email request was sent weeks ago in both Japanese and English 2) The room I booked is large enough to accommodate two people, both according to Agoda and your website 3) The man at the check-in counter lied about not recieving the email, did not bother to allow us to change or add a room, and was aggressive 4) According to your website, there were other single and twin rooms available for this week 5) His behavior and actions created concerns over safety, especially when you take into account that we are both young women, we had just arrived from the airport, and it was late at night. And because of his inability or refusal to figure out a solution, we found a last-minute accomodation for her elsewhere. I was going to let this go, but after thinking about this interaction, I decided to leave a review so that there is a record.
