I booked Hotel Lella Meriam through Agoda for my elderly parents, with clear requests for a clean, comfortable room close to the beach and pool, due to their limited mobility. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing:
• They were given a room on the rooftop next to the chiller, which was noisy and unsuitable.
• The corridor had human waste (yes, poop), creating a disgusting and unsafe environment.
• The hotel was dirty, poorly maintained, and the food smelled bad.
• When my parents raised their concerns, the manager’s only explanation was: “We don’t have staff.”
• Despite my booking being fully paid with all taxes included, they still forced my parents to pay extra, claiming a “tourism tax.”
This is unacceptable, especially for elderly guests. The reality of this hotel is nothing like what is advertised. I strongly advise future travelers to avoid it.
