    I recently stayed at Hotel Galleria and found the accommodations acceptable, but the front desk customer service left much to be desired. I arrived at 1pm -just 1 hour ahead of the standard 2pm check in time- and asked to check in. I knew rooms were available because the same room category was actively listed as available for immediate booking on online travel sites. Despite this, the male front desk staff stubbornly imposed the strict 2pm policy rather than taking an attentive, customer-first approach. I had previously done this with the assign female front desk staff-arriving 1pm in couple of my visits here in Davao-and most , if not all the time I was given attentive, customer-first approach and most of time the room I booked was given to me upon arrival except of this visit. What made the experience particularly disappointing was that after I politely insisted on being registered and waited for about 5mins, a room was magically made available and given to me, it was frustrating that it required unnecessary pushback to achieve what should have been standard hospitality. Hotel management needs to train front desk staff to prioritize attentiveness and reasonable flexibility over rigid rule enforcement- especially when clean rooms are clearly ready and available. Also, prohibits them playing online games while on duty.

    The room was dirty, with pubic hair in the bathroom and a dirty floor in the room. There was no working water, so you couldn't shower or use the restroom. The hotel said it was under maintenance.
