Who knew that Jaen was so pretty. Our hotel was located in the heart of the city, easy walking distance to the major sights, the Cathedral, Arab Bathes and Museums. The parking is actually a public park station only about a 5 min stroll from the hotel, but a horrid 20 to 30 min drive!!
The room was comfortable and modern and clean. Everything worked as it should, but there was no kettle, nor tea coffee facilities. However, the friendly staff made up a lot for that, the we added breakfast for two...16 euros. This was the best idea yet. The breakfast was great, and we left that morning fully satisfied. Service from all staff was superb. Well done Hotel Europa.

We booked and paid to stay here for two nights, but we decided to stay only one. First of all, the bathroom smelled badly like a sewer, and we couldn't bear to stay longer or bother to ask the receptionist for help because communication in English seemed difficult at the time. Secondly, we found the olive oil tasting a fabulous idea, and we didn't mind at all that the breakfast was limited and didn't have many options available, but the bread was unpleasantly dry and presumably old. The breakfast time is inconvenient, as it's only open until 9:30, while many others are usually open until 10 or even 11. We were on holiday and expected to enjoy a longer rest but had to set an alarm to come down for breakfast, which we ended up not enjoying. The hotel, of course, may have its reasons, but whatever they are, we found it inconvenient. We didn't mind losing another night we had already paid for. We moved to another hotel and enjoyed it much more.
